Snoqualmie Falls, at 268 feet, is
100 feet higher than Niagara Falls. It ranks second, just behind
Mount Rainier, as the most visited tourist attraction in Washington
State and is easily accessible just 30 miles east of Seattle on
Interstate 90 via Highway 202. Puget Sound Energy uses water from
the falls to operate a hydroelectric plant. Constructed on the
high cliffs above the falls, the impressive four-star Salish Lodge
& Spa caters to guests in grand style with gourmet cuisine and
world-class service. Paved walks lead the way to a picnic area
and a huge gazebo-like observation deck offering breathtaking
views of the falls and surrounding area.
